OmniStar recently attended the 2024 Australasian Research Management Society (ARMS) conference in Darwin. The event proved to be an exciting opportunity for networking, knowledge sharing, and showcasing our latest innovations in research administration and ethics processes.
Our team had the pleasure of engaging with numerous members of the ARMS fraternity, including both current and prospective clients. It was a great opportunity to catch up in person with key clients and these interactions reinforce our commitment to understanding and addressing the evolving needs of research administrators across Australasia.

A Killer Kickoff at Crocosaurus Cove
The conference kicked off with an unforgettable event at Crocosaurus Cove. Attendees had the unique opportunity to get up close and personal with crocodiles, with some brave souls even entering the water (safely separated by plexiglass).
Networking in a Tropical Paradise
The conference's social events provided excellent opportunities for networking. The tropical-themed dinner at the Darwin Exhibition Centre was a highlight, allowing us to forge new friendships with representatives from various prestigious research institutions.
Engaging Sessions and Discussions
Two well-attended sessions focused on Budgeting and Artificial Intelligence in research administration. These topics generated a lot of discussion among attendees, highlighting the industry's keen interest in leveraging technology to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
